| - On September 15, 2009, the Rock Island County Board passed Resolution 2009-0917 which eliminates the need for citizens age 65 or older to reapply annually for the Senior Homestead Exemption. This Resolution takes effect beginning with the January 1, 2010 assessment year. You will still need to make an original application for the Senior Homestead Exemption during the year in which you turn 65 years of age. Learn more . . .
| - More Illinois veterans and disabled persons will be eligible for property tax relief as a result of legislation that was passed into law on October 17, 2007.
