 Circuit Clerk's Office
Passports
You may come to the Courthouse to apply for a passport. Please review the criteria below for the items necessary to process your application and review the fees. More information is available on the U.S. Government website at http://travel.state.gov. Forms are available on that site. After all of the paperwork is in order, it takes six (6) to eight (8) weeks for routine applications and about three (3)weeks for expedited service. Our office does not currently process expedited applications. Please refer to the U.S. Government website for information about expediting a passport application.
Please be advised that the flexible accommodation program that has allowed U.S. Citizens to travel by air to Canada, Mexico, Bermuda and countries in the Caribbean with "Official Proof of a Passport Application" and government issued identification will expire September 30. Effective October 1, 2007, all U.S. Citizens traveling by air to Canada, Mexico, Bermuda and the Caribbean countries must present a passport to enter or depart from the United States. U.S. Citizens who departed the country under this travel accommodation prior to October 1, 2007, with a Department of State "Officail Proof of Passport Application" and government-issued identification will be readmitted with these same documents if returning to the United States after September 30, 2007.
